Privacy Policy
The short version: your data stays on your phone. We do not collect it, see it, sell it, or send it anywhere. This policy is short because there is genuinely not much to disclose.
No accounts
The Recovery Toolbox has no sign-up, no login, and no server that stores anything about you. We cannot identify you, and we don't try to.
Your entries
Journals, milestone counters, your support list, your kit, and everything else you save in the app are stored only on your device, using your phone's local storage. We have no access to any of it.
Location
If you allow location access, your location is used on your device, in the moment, to sort nearby meetings and treatment facilities by distance. It is never stored, logged, or transmitted. You can decline location access and the rest of the app works fully.
Contacts
If you choose to add a person from your contacts, the app reads only the single contact you pick and saves the name and number you approve to your device. Your contact list is never uploaded or scanned.
Analytics and tracking
There are none. No analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers, no crash reporters that phone home. The app makes no network requests about you.
Directory data
Meeting and treatment facility listings are bundled into the app from public sources (SAMHSA's national directory and publicly published meeting lists). Searching them happens entirely on your device.
Deleting your data
Use Erase all my data in the app's Settings, or simply delete the app. Both permanently remove everything.
Children
The app is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 17.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will ship with the app and be posted on this page.
